expedition to the brink

collage of dreamscape in a cave with jewels

A found board which had been stuck to plaster at some point and sprayed with a star then abandoned and the beautiful colours of a page of the Ladybird book of rocks and minerals was the starting point for this collage.

The Brink is where the conscious and subconscious meet. A unique dreamscape of unground pools where terrible creatures live.

Framed,

board paper, wax, oil pastels

34cm x 29 cm

Death March

This salvaged board had been

used as a masking tool by graffiti artists and covered in many layers of paint.

The markings were built up over time to form a multi layered landscape to which I have added paper images sealed with wax.

A solar eclipse bears down.

The characters of Death move closer . An army assembles.

Made at the time lockdown was announced.

Board, spray paint, paper, beeswax 50 x 42 cm.

Victorian Spill vase

A Spill vase was placed on the mantlepiece and held tapers to light gas lamps. This one has quite a bit of damage with some lovely natural crazing in the glaze but shows a pregnant woman and two sleeping children.

Biteys

Opinions-C.jpg

These creatures have featured within pieces of my work for a while but now they have crawled out of the woodwork and have a voice of their own.

Now in carnivore and omnivore!

They are small scale porcelain, between 3-6 cm long and are

£20.00 each or £50.00 for three
